unidentified soldier
« on: Thursday 06 December 12 16:09 GMT (UK) »
This photograph was found in my DOLBY family records by my cousin who sadly died in November. I am trying to carry on with this research but have no military knowledge.

It could belong to one of the Dolby sons born in Dudley Worcestershire during the 1880's and 1890's (looking for George William Dolby b 1893 and Horace Dolby b 1898 Dudley who might have served in WW1)

I have looked at various online sites for uniforms and badges but have not found anything that matches.

I would be delighted to answer this question and remove one more brick wall.

Many thanks if you are able to help me.   :)

Hi, I believe this too be the badge of The East Surrey Regiment with a Bandsmans badge on his arm.

However I would suggest that you put this pic on the Armed Forces Board and you will get an answer for sure.
