2nd Battalion KOSB.

Hi can anyone help with where did the 2ND BATT KOSB serve after the WW1 ended up till 1921.My mate insists his Grandad was in India but i cant find them being there till nearer the start of ww2.

Their Regimental Museum will be able to answer this more precisely, but the museum website states that both 1st Bn and 2nd Bn served in India at some time between the Wars. See http://www.kosb.co.uk/museum.htm

Cheers Graham,i checked them out first ,it appears the 2nd did not go until 1934 and my man was well out by then .I think what he must have done was transfer to the MGC in 1916 and gone to India with them after ww1 ended. The Kosb were in the 5th Division so i would need to see what MGC he would have gone into.His MGC number was 146968 if that helps anyone
