Hello, can anyone tell me the maiden name of Mary Collender, who died in Feb 1986 aged 108? Thank you.

What was Marys husbands name. Was she born in Waterford if you know. :)

Yes she was born in Aglish, west Waterford in 1877; sorry  I don't know her husband's name only that she had a son John, there's no 34 yo Mary Collender in the '11 census, so  I think she was older than that when she married... :-\

Should this read Marys MARRIED name as you say you dont know her husbands name - so I assume Collender was her maiden name.

Haha no I meant I don't know her husband's FIRST name, the point is she was not Collender in 1911...

There is a marriage registered in Dungarvan District Jan.Feb.March 1914 for a Robert Collender to a Mary Barron. Vol 4 Page 410

Another marriage also registered in Dungarvan Jan Feb Mar 1919 for a Thomas Collender to a Mary Barron. Vol 4 Page 316.

Strange to have both records Mary Barron 5 years apart.  Think it would most likely be the 1914 as you said she had a son so by 1919 "time would be running out" I think. :D

Well there are only 2 Mary Barrons of the correct age... and they're both married! The plot thickens ;D

Death Reg for Alice Collender December 1942 age 25. Reg Dis Lismore.
Vol 4 Page 345

2. Birth John Collender. June 1915 Reg Dis Lismore. Vol 4 P 531
3  Birth Catherine Collender Sept 1920 Reg Dist Lismore Vol 4 p 472
4  Birth Mary R P Collender Dec 1921 Reg Dist Lismore Vol 4 P 415 ::)

Theres only 1 Robert Collender showing in 1911. Farmer
House 2 Nicholastown Modelligo Waterford. Age 34 Single
Brother Hubert a. 27 single. Sister Mary 50 Single.

In all probability this is the Robert that married Mary Barron in 1914.
Whether they are your Collenders or not is the question :-\
