Hi Mike,

I just found this family group sheet on Ancestry.com. I can't attest to the accuracy of it, but there is a Frances Baum listed as being born in 1785.

This list is also interesting, because there is a sister to Frances named Diana, and Frances had a daughter who was known as Diana or Dinah. (There are often name patterns in families) :

Greeting’s Again Gwyneth. …….

I only had time to trawl the registers Five years pre & post 1780.
At the Records Office today.
But as I thought the registers had both Baptisms & Burials on the same page ….So you had to read the whole page to gain any information.

But Did find this one :~

ANNO DOMINI.:~1784.

Frances. Daughter of Joseph & Ann Balm ….Baptised …9th. February…..PAUPER

Therefore the usual charge of 3d. was not charged.

Now maybe Joseph could not read or write  so as to challenge that spelling.

MIKE. …….

Hi Mike,

I have no solid proof, but I'm suspecting this might be my Frances. Borm doesn't seem to be in the registers so far and it is not easy to find anywhere except Holland and Belgium!

Thank you so much!

Gwyneth
