Understanding Ancest*y
« on: Thursday 27 December 12 21:19 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I hope you have all had a great Xmas,
I have always paid my subscription to Ancestry via a monthly standing order and today have signed into my account and it is now showing me as a registered guest  :-\, has anyone else had this bother or does anyone know if you have to renew a direct debit agreement at the end of each year with them?
Best regards as always,
jess5athome  :)

I had a problem over Christmas and thought I'd have to ring them, as I was getting a different home page and it kept saying pay subscription. I tried swapping to the new search, then swapping back to the old and it went back to normal, much to my relief. claytonbradley

Have you checked that the card you put the standing order on hasn`t recently expired?  Having said that I have had one or two really odd experiences today with Ancestry, so perhaps just a glich in the workings.

Try going into your account settings to see if you can fix whatever it is causing the problem.

You could try logging out then logging back in, this works for me when I have issues with their site.

Good luck
