Hello from Buenos Aires, Argentina! I am looking a Feu Charter granted to George Murdoch, who was a brother of an ancestor of mine. I found in 'Scottish Notes and Queries' a note by Mr Robert Murdoch Lawrance, where it says the following: "George Murdoch, Wood Merchant at Mossat Sawmill, received from Harry Leith Lumsden of Auchindoir a Feu Charter of two pieces of ground in Lumsden Village, of date 29th July, 1830. He conveyed one of the properties to Miss Margaret Alexander, sometime residing at Waulkmill of Auchindoir, and afterwards redising in Leith-Lumsden Village. In the Disposition in Miss Alexander’s favour, George Murdoch (born at Moors of Clova, baptised 30th October, 1784) is described as Feuar, Leith-Lumsden Village, and Wood Merchant at Sawmill of Invermossat. The Disposition is dated 29th June and 26th July, 1838". Any idea of where could I find the mentioned Feu Charter?

Dear Malky, I am indebted to you for drawing this to my attention. If I understood correctly, according to that information, the Feu Charter could have been registered in the Register of Sasines for Aberdeenshire. Thank you, I will try to keep digging!

Fifer1947 and Malky: thank you very much for your help! I think I have found the document in the National Archives of Scotland.
