Daventry 1851- Simons
« on: Thursday 02 June 05 18:45 BST (UK) »
Looking for a Joseph and Ann Simons, ages abt 41 and 45 respectively-married Daventry 1840. Should have at least two children by 1851; Alfred b. 1846 and a daughter.
In 1861 Joseph was running the World's End Public House- and in 1871 living on St. James's Street.

Hi again

Not sure if this is the marriage of your Joseph and Ann as earlier than you thought.

It would match up with the children's ages though on the Cenuses.

Joseph SIMONS otp bach Ann BULLIMAN otp sp1832 30-Sep Daventry

Thank you so much, Sandy.
How tiresome that what I thought was a find turns out to be a teaser- and apparently a wrong one at that.

You're right- I suspect that Joseph  Simons and Ann Lovell Lovell married in Daventry, but then wandered off to other places.
Gratefully,
Helen
