Just as background, the John and Bella Mackie that Annie and son John show as visiting in 1901, I wondered whether this is Bella in 1881:

Alexander Summers 22, agri. lab. b. Ellon
Eliza Summers 30 b. Cruden
David Summers 6 b. Cruden
Isabella Summers 1 b. Ellon
James Smith 1. lodger b. Buchan, Logie

Address: Nethermill Of Birness, Logie Buchan, Aberdeenshire

With the Ellon connection, likely family links to Mary/Annie's line?
