Jimmy Garton's on Town Street, Sandiacre
« on: Sunday 06 January 13 16:09 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone know who the Jimmy was of Jimmy Garton's on Town Street, Sandiacre?  Have I remembered it wrong??

It has long closed down but backed on to a yard that also served Pear Tree House.  As I recall it was a builder's yard.  I have an Alfred Garton and Jael Mary Bastable married locally but I don't think that they had any sons.  Bastables was also a builders yard on Station Road, Sandiacre.  Alas also now closed.

Any recollections much appreciated

i remember Jimmy Garton and his wood yard. My dad had a shed with in the wood yard and built 3 caravans in the yard in the 50/60s.
