What sources have you already checked - do you have baptism or birth records for the children you listed ?

Going by the dates John and Anne would have married 1860 or earlier, and their marriage would probably not give you much additional detail. Baptism & marriage records for Tullamore go back to 1801 or so, and there are transcripts on RootsIreland (pay-website), although they dont go back quite as far as the NLI films.

Kilbride is one of the civil parishes covered by Tullamore RC parish. (There's another Kilbride parish nearby)

No simple way of searching forward other than trying out the certs etc.. can get complicated if they didn't stay close to home

Have you found any of the family on the census returns ?

No not found them on census only Joseph with wife Ellen and some children in 1911 there is rather a lot of Flanagans :). The baptism records just say Tullamore Kings RC.

It might be worth investing in one or two civil birth certs. These generally show a more detailed location - e.g. for rural areas you would normally see a townland name, in a town it might be a street name, but can just be the name of the town. A civil cert would also give father's occupation, which can sometimes help.

If you get a townland name you can work back to Griffith's, and if this Flanagan family were farmers you can look for them at the same location on the Tithes. Similarly you can then work forward to the same townland on the two census returns to hopefully find some of the same family... if they stayed 'at home'

....
John Flanagan died between 1885-1888 married
Anne Hopkins b 21 Jan 1837 f Matthew m Bridget Cahill
.....

dont know if the age fits, but there's a possible death for John in the right area and date range on the BMD Index :

  Name:   John Flanagan
  Registration district:   Tullamore
  Event type: Death
  Quarter and year: Jan-Mar 1888
Age: 68  (est. year of birth 1820)
  Volume: 3 / Page: 599

I dont see a good match for Anne's death in the area... closest is an Anna Maria Flanagan death in Edenderry district, which is to the east of Tullamore, in 1895.
