Edward Roberts born 1824. where??

I'm sure that WR will reply to you but wherever Edward Roberts was born, he was dead by 1861 - see my reply to Roger:

William -do-, s, 5 mths,  b do
Mary Roberts, lodger, wid, 39, dressmaker, b. do
Edd W W -do- s, 9,  b do
Mary E -do-, d, 6,  b. Manchester
Charlotte J, d, 3, b. do
William W W -do-, s, 1, b. do

So , maybe our Edward, jnr, died Manchester.

Margaret was  a Margaret Chew - m. to Joseph in 1854.

This was Edward jnr's family, so your suggestion of him being alive in 1861 is not really a goer:

In 1861 there is an Edward Roberts, 37, a shoemaker, lodger, unmarried, born Merioneth, Dolgellau, a lodger in Penmachno.
