Swanton Morley
« on: Tuesday 15 January 13 19:46 GMT (UK) »
During ww2 my grandfather was billeted at Swanton Morley and became friendly with a local farmer and his family. They were Ma and Pa Peachmond. I'm not sure if I have the spelling correct. At one point, they also looked after my mum for a holiday. Does anyone know if the farm or the family still exist or what the farm was called? I know we can't search for living people but obviously Mr and Mrs P won't be alive, my grandfather has been dead for three years and he was 98 when he died. I'd just like to add a little more information to my grandfather's background.

Could the surname be Peachment?

Swanton Morley came under the East Dereham registration district and there are 15 deaths for surname Peachment  between 1944-1974

Absolutely. I just didn't know how to spell it and when people from another area are saying a name you don't always get the fine nuances.
Thanks
