my great grand father mystery

i havefound the children of my great grand father ,there bith dates along with there baptism dates.which give me the father and mothers names .john dunford and martha dunford .first child birth and baptism was in 1812.john dunford baptised in st marys liveropool second child and all the rest baptised in st marys liverpool,same father and mother,so if thefirst child was born in 1812.there marriage must have beenn around 1800 to 1812.but still canmnot find it,there two son got married in 1837 and 1839 both livedv in bevington street liverpool.so did there family live with them
in 1860 thomas dunford remarried his first wife sarah must have died,so he married another widow nameof ellen williams andonthis certifcate it reads grooms father john dunford .so was john dunford husband of martha dunford still alive in 1860.thatsthevonly clus i canfind .can anybody else help out there.thank you from bob dunford.

John Dunford aged 59 of Titchfield Street, died of fever, buried 13 December 1837.

It wasn't compulsory to state if the father was dead although on some marriage certs. it does state that.So he may have been.Have you found anyone in 1841?
Finding marriages pre 1837 can be quite difficult as we have to rely on online transcriptions which aren't complete by any means.
I assume your looking for Martha's maiden name.

A couple of things that might help.

On both marriages Thomas (1837) & William (1839) they are both Minors when married.

There is another marriage at St.Peters on the 23rd March 1835 between John Dunford & Elizabeth Moss. John is described as a Carter (the John on the marriage certificates is also thus described).

Also it might be an idea to contact a Mrs Penelope Richardson who is conducting a study of your surname, her details can be found here.

thank you it is i have it from st anthonys burial records ,which state son  john dunford born 1812 paid for burial ,so we know it was the correct death

john dunford born 1812 who married elizabeth moss was the son of john dunford born 1789.elizabeth moss died shortly after ,then john dunford remarried ann hannah
