I would suggest contacting the Cemeteries Office at Shepway District Council http://www.shepway.gov.uk/content/view/2077/30/

They hold the records for burials at the New Romney Cemetery and also Hawkinge (Folkestone).  A cremation is likely to have taken place at Hawkinge unless she was taken back to New Romney which could mean she was cremated elsewhere.  In any case, try Shepway first and let us know how you get on.

Hi,

I just had this an email back from Kent , this is the reply

I have checked the registers for Hawkinge and Folkestone cemeteries and New Romney, however I cannot find an entry for Annie Sophie Broad 1970
Any other ideas on this burial/crem  please

Regards Petles

That sounds quite feasible, it would be Ashford Borough Council http://www.ashford.gov.uk/cemeteries-and-crematoria

If they don't have him in their records then try for a cremation for both or either of them at Charing Crematorium
