Deaths of Ellen Kirtley and husband Robert Kirtley

I am looking for the deaths of my great-grandparents, Robert Kirtley, and Ellen Kirtley.  They lived in Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, England.  I am also looking for their parents names, and places of birth.  I know that Robert was born in Norton around 1854. Their daughter, Annie Marie is my father's mother.  She came to the United States at the turn of the century in early 1900's, and married Louis(Lewis) Coryell.

Robert Kirtley married Ellen Maria Nichols Dec qtr 1875 Middlesborough reg district 9d 1141

After marriage they lived in Middlesborough reg district
So this could be a possibility for Robert's death reg

Several trees on ancestry have William Kirtley’s wife Mary as Mary Roper. Given this birth

Births Dec 1849
KIRTLEY   William Roper      Stockton &C    24      266

And the fact that William and Mary have a son William R Kirtley aged 21 in the 1871 census it looks probable.  (Stockton was the registration district for Norton)
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.
