I'm coming in late to this chat as I have only recently joined.
My Great Grandfather is Henry Charles Baker.
I recently ordered his marriage certificate as I also had some doubt about parentage on Ancestry.
Married to Agnes Edith Baker (nee Woodward) November 1883.
The marriage certificate shows his parents as Henry Baker (Boundary rider) and Harriet (no surname listed). This is different to William & Mary that I had gone with in Ancestry based off others.
