Church in Cheshire, Duckington Area
« on: Tuesday 22 January 13 21:27 GMT (UK) »
My husbands great grandfather spent his youth in the Duckington, Cheshire area growing up between 1873-1889 (when he immigrated). I have picture of a church that just says Edwin's Church in England. His name was Edwin Fulcher Hiscocks.
Does anyone recognize this church from that area?

I was wondering myself if it was Holy Trinity Church. I can't see the front in any images online so I was having trouble confirming. If definitely has the same roof line as my photo.

Thanks for the replies.

I don't think it is.  Look at the shape of the little bell tower in your photo and compare it with this one:

or this photo:

It only has one opening at the top, your photo has two  :-\

I just found a pretty good picture of the front and it's different. Even if they have done some changes in the last 100 years it's still doesn't look like the one. Here is the picture I found.

The family spent the majority of their time in the Duckington Cheshire area but I do believe from about 1882-1890 they were  at Walton Hurst Farm, Eccleshall. I have looked around that area as well and haven't come up with anything. Maybe you all have some resources for that area that I don't.

Thanks
