Alrewas Odd couple?
« on: Wednesday 23 January 13 10:24 GMT (UK) »
Help I have a Charles Wood marrying the widow Elizabeth Carter Mar qtr 1854 in Alrewas All Saints ( Staffordshire BMD) she was nee Kirkman.
He died in 1858 so they don't appear as a couple on a census
In 1851 the only Charles Wood in the area I can find was born 1821 and was the son of William WOOD and Elizabeth nee Benet who later married Joseph CARTER she being 26 years older than Joseph .They are on the 1861 census with a Samuel Wood brother of Charles
Previous to marrying Charles Wood ,Elizabeth Kirkman had been married to William Carter who was father of Joseph who married Elizabeth WOOD nee Benet
We know Charles WOOD died in 1858 but no age is given on the registration but it would be on the burial register for Alrewas PLEASE can some one check the age as this is a very strange arrangement if there is only one Charles Wood through out this saga
 ??? Trees ???
