burial records Frodesley surname Hodges
« on: Thursday 24 January 13 23:59 GMT (UK) »
I am searching for the burial of John and Martha Hodges.
Last entry I have for them is the baptism of their son John Hodges 1796. i have estimated that Martha born 1766 daughter of Aaron and Ann Lawley
Not sure about JOhn Hodges however assume his birth between 1756 and 1766 .
JOhn and Martha were married in 1785 at Frodesley. I am hoping that they remained there and are buried near there.

Thank you
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,
There are 2 burial entries for John HODGES at St Mark, Frodesley, Shropshire, but no sign of Martha:-
September 5th, 1797 and October 5th, 1802. No age at death is recorded.

Hi Victor
Thank you for the dates I think the latter may be more lowly as their son died 1802 listed as son of John and Martha Hodges. Assuming John may have been still alive. Maybe Martha moved to one of her children I will have to search around.

Thanks
Jennifer
