Arnold E. Holt after 1901

Desperately seeking information about the above who emigrated after 1901.

Arnold E. Holt b. 182 in Oldham, Lancs.

Can find no trace since the 1901 census.

Would be really grateful if someone could solve this mystery for me.

Hi Rachel,

have you any idea which area of Australia Arnold was living in? Even which State?

It might be possible to find a death record but without knowing the area it's a bit difficult.

Thanks so much for replying.  I really don't have any idea where he went to live I'm afraid.

It was just something that we were told by another family member and they couldn't remember any more than that.

I had a look at the death records for NSW for an Arnold E. Holt but found none at all.

Not knowing where in Australia Arnold was makes it hard to trace him.

Have you tried to finding him on the shipping lists which are posted on this thread?

I think your best chance is to find a record of his death. As this thread has been answered a few times other RootsChatters may not read it thinking that the post is completed.

You could post again on this board asking for a lookup of the death records in other states - and noting that Arnold doesn't appear on the records for NSW.
