Hello All. My name is Harry Edward Ackroyd and I live in the US. I am trying to find family members back in the UK. My father, Harry E. Ackroyd, passed away when I was only 7, so I don't know too much about my father's family. So far, this is all that I have discovered:
My grandfather, Harry E. Ackroyd, emigrated from Bradford to the US around 1886. He married Katherine Laritz in Kansas City, Missouri. They had three children: Marion, Nora and my father, Harry. My great grandfather, James Ackroyd, who married Hannah Wells, was from Bradford. They had 12 children: Ebay, George, Susannah, Arthur, Annie, Ada, Emily, Etty, Kate, Fred, Walter, and Harry. My great great grandfather, Isaac Ackroyd, who married Mary Thompson, was also from Bradford. I haven’t been able to discover any family history prior to Isaac Ackroyd.
Does anybody recognized any of the above names? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
