Its CINDY on the image.

and not with the Family in the 1891 census. Theres a gap betwen Ann / Annie and William.

Its CINDY on the image.

If you compare the first letter of the forename with the capital Cs and Es elsewhere on the page, its more likely to start with an E

There is a death registration for an Emily Elliot aged 8 in Mar Qtr 1882, Newcastle, 'may' be her if you can't find her on later census returns?

As to why the children were born in Morpeth, there's only one sure fire answer to that - because that is where their Mam was at the time :-) There could be many reasons for the family going there - work, relatives there and it sounded like a good idea etc. People did move around a fair bit, I have mine turning up in all sorts of unexpected places.

Only William is stated as born Morpeth - in both 1881 and 1891.

The Jury is out on it being a C or an E - its certainly different in many respects from other obvious E's ....

i think its an e as if you look at the elizabeths on the page its the same  and theres a death in newcastle when she was 8 for an emily elliot so i could be wrong but it sounds very feasable x
