Struck off Strength Record
« on: Friday 08 February 13 03:03 GMT (UK) »
Hi Everyone, during my granddads time serving in Egypt in April 1942 he was listed as 'Adm Hosp & Posted x 2 wef' and remained there for 3 months. He also spent 2 month in hospital in 1943, listed as 'CTBA on Admission to Hospital', he was in 2 COY B.D. I know that he was a driver and at one stage he spoke about a bomb exploding under his truck and the man next to him being killed. He was covered in shrapnel and spent some time recovering. Is there any way of checking if one of these is the right time for this event - would such a thing be included in a regimental diary or something? It doesnt give any details of injuries in his army record but he did get a pension for his injuries.

Thanks, Luke
