parker baptism in cranfield beds. 1869-1873
« on: Saturday 09 February 13 17:48 GMT (UK) »
hi all. i have just discovered my 2 x great grannies maiden name was parker. she has stated in the 2 census reports i have her in that she was born in cranfield beds but as she is a romany it has been difficult to pin her down. i now know as i say she was a parker. (she always used loveridge on other certificates) i recently discovered she had another son in 1915 so through this i discovered she was a parker.
so im hoping there will be a baptism record for her in cranfield, there are 3 possible eliza parkers bn between 1869 and 1872. any help anyone can give me would really be greatly appreciated i just have not been able to find out who she was and who her parents where so im so hoping now i know she was a parker i may be able to find her.
thanks so much. tracey

Cranfield baptisms up to 1875 are on the IGI at www.familysearch.org, but I can't see an Eliza Parker

I knew the names rang a bell!  We went over the same ground in June last year at http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,601809.0.html

You were hoping to get to your nearest LDS to check Cranfield microfilm. Did you?

ah yes forgot about that one, i feel like ive been trying for ever to find her family. atleast i now know she was a parker you would think that would make it easy but obviously not. i wander if perhaps she was born there but they moved on and baptised elsewhere, i have looked on family search but cant find a suitable candidate. she really doesnt want to be found cant find her in the census either for 81 or 91, cant find israel her partner either. i will just have to keep searching i wont let them beat me.
i havent as yet got to bedfordshire i am disabled so it it isint easy takes a bit of forward planning i want to get up there as i want to go to toddington to visit my great grandad's grave, markyate (herts) to visit my gran's grave and go to the records office. i have to visit with my dogs as well as i have no one here to care for them so again needs forward planning. i have to find out what the parking situation is at the records office, leaving dogs in cars is very risky so can only be done in the right places.
thanks for your help. tracey
