Girls school Preston Road Brighton?

Hi, Just found a relation living at 187 Preston Road Brighton in 1911 census. She is living with a long list of other girls all students aged around 19.
Can anyone tell me if this is a girls school/college and what they may have been studying?

Just found the beginning of  this entry in the census doh!....it  appears to be a girls hostel, all students. Would still like to find out what they were all studying though....

Kellys Directory for 1911 lists 187 Preston Road as:
East Sussex Education Committee, Brighton Hostel (Miss E M Diver Lady Supt.)

My gut feeling is she was perhaps training to be a teacher....but I could be wrong. There is no sign of her after this apart from what I think is her death in 1940 in Wakefield.

The place you are talking of no longer exists but you can see the style of buildings on here; http://regencysociety-jamesgray.com/volume18/ . There are a couple with no number but could possibly be 187.

If you go on google maps st view, find the Preston club which is 189. 187 would have been to the left where the flats are.
