Hello

Would anyone be able to tell me please if there are any markings etc on the grave of an Elizabeth Smith who died aged 53 and was buried at Hastings cemetery on the 4 May 1872.

The grave reference is B M C3

Many thanks

Hi Ewan

Have you contacted the cemetery to establish whether a headstone was erected in the first place?

Hello Dawn

Thanks for the help with the links.  I didn't know if Chris would be able to glean any more information using his oracle.

I might be able to when I get home.

At the moment I am holiday at Clacton on Sea in Essex, return home on Saturday 16th - got my laptop with me and the Holiday cottage has wifi.

Will have a look for more info as the 'Oracle' archives are on my base system

Chris

Thank you, in the meantime enjoy your holiday and have a restful time.  Clacton was a place my mum and her family used to visit for their holidays from London, in fact I think there is a picture of nan and grandad strolling along the pier, will have to dig it out.

Many thanks
Ewan
