I can't find my way around this new site, though I am not a beginner; I can't find how to put a new post on Scotland General board because my quest involves 2 counties. I want to put my new post asking for help about anything else at all about Christopher Pitt who, with Susannah Coulter/ Coultard],was father to William born Creetown baptised Kirkmabreck Kirkudbrightshire, 1800, Robert born 1803 baptised 1803 Colmonell Ayrshire (wrongly entered in 1804), Jean in Colmonell 1806, Elizabeth 1809 in Girvan, Ayrshire, and Susannah born 1812 Girvan. The Girvan registers said he was a servant.
I can find no birth/ baptism, marriage or death for Christopher who would probably have been born 1770-1780, possibly a member of the Pitt family of Colmonnell. No other Christopher Pitts appear as his grandchildren, and none before to be his father or grandfather except possibly the 1 born in 1725.
