Ada Emily Mary Herresier was born 1878 in Jersey while her mother Mary Anne (nee Marie) was on a visit.  Would some kind person be able to look up and see if her birth was registered please.

Or a cheaper option would be to contact the Channel Island Family History Society
www.jerseyfamilyhistory.org

1 hour of research would cost you, as a non-member, £10

There is a similar society in Guernsey.

Can I butt in here?

A few years ago I had some research done by CIFHS - and it was well worth the money!
Thoroughly reccommended!

I'm off to the UK for the weekend, but if no one else picks this up by the time I get back, I'll look it up for you.

Hi

I have your information.

ADM Heresier (only one "r") was born 5th Feb 1878 at Hue Street, St. Helier. Her father was Charles Heresier, a boulanger, and mother Mary Ann Murray. The birth was reported by Mary Ann Le Moignan of 38, The Parade St. Helier.

The ref. is St Helier births, 23rd Mar 1877 to 2nd Apr 1878, volume 31, page 67.

Regards,

Stewart

PS I've just noticed that I have written down ADM when you have written AEM. I'll go back tomorrow and look again at the name and this time, write it down in full!!

Also, I see you have the mother's maiden name as Marie whilst I have Murray. I'll check this again.

I'm not having a good day.

Hi

Just to confirm that it is AEM and the mother's surname is Murray.
