Help me make sense of 1911 census references
« on: Saturday 16 February 13 15:47 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to find Amos Turner on Ancestry and can't but can on FindMyPast (oh what a surprise!)

The reference is given is RG14PN29301 RG78PN1696 RD535 SD3 ED38 SN305

I need to put the appropriate references in these boxes on Ancestry but what goes where? :clueless:

Thanks  :)

The only information you need to identify a household on the 1911 census is the piece and the schedule.

On some sites he is transcribed as Amos Turner, while elsewhere he's Amos Gurner. ;)

Hi Parmesan
On Ancestry - Top right select 1911 Census
The page then displays name info look underneath Select England 1911
On the right you will then be able to select:
County:  Yorkshire (North riding)
Civil Parish: Middlesborough
Sub Reg: Middlesborough west
ED:  38
Page: 610

You should find your man!
