Ann LONG from Macroom
« on: Sunday 17 February 13 08:38 GMT (UK) »
I am searching for the birth of Ann Long, born c1837 in Macroom.  Her parents were Daniel and Mary, and she had older brothers and a sister called Timothy c1823, Ellen c1826 and William c1830.
Also wonder if anyone knows the name of the Catholic Church that was standing at that time, and if it is still there?
There are rumours in the family that they could have changed their name on their arrival in England in the 1840's from O'Lang, O'Langain, or something similar, but I don't know how true this is.
I would be so grateful for any help.  Fingers crossed.   :)

I have recently found Daniel and Timothy Long in the Tithe Applotments 1823-37 for Aghabullogue, and am looking for descendants who may have researched the same family.
