Any ideas on a date for this?

Does anyone know what date this photo maybe? It came from my GtGmthers hoard and is a picture stuck on a card mount of Mortimer Field who is credited with the original photo on the reverse.
I understand that Mortimer Field were in the Sandling Rd in an 1855 directory.
From the facial hair of the subject I would guess at approx 1870s?

Any hints would be greatfully received!
