Link: Old photographs of Southwold
« on: Friday 22 February 13 20:01 GMT (UK) »
Brand new website, still in the early stages, showing lots of old photographs.
They are particularly looking at the trades and businesses in the town with photographs of the old shops, forges, dairies etc.
It is also searchable by name, so if your ancestors ran a shop, for example the Goldsmith family of green grocers on the corner of East Street and Trinity Street, you can try the name search.

Lots of small family run businesses.

Somewhat different today, a branch of Costa Cafe opened in the High Street this week  :(
