I have an almost impossible task trying to find the origins of my GG Grandfather William Russell.
I know from the 1851 census that he was born Rowley Regis about 1786.
He married Jane Jones jn 1820 St. Martins Birmingham.
They then travelled to Dover in Kent where William worked as an Ironmonger.
I don't think he was baptised. They had 4 sons and none of them were baptised either.
Is anyone else connected to Russells from Rowley Regis? Long shot I know.
William died between 1851 & 1855 but haven't found his death record.
Any help would be appreciated.
