Tyrone - Marriage early 1850s McGUIRE, John to a Sarah ???
« on: Saturday 02 March 13 06:02 GMT (UK) »
1855 John McGuire, aged 20, and wife Sarah, 21, emigrated from Co. Tyrone.

Most likely a Catholic marriage.

Grateful for any clues, or look-up for details.
Thank you.

Hi,
Don't know if this helps. Oct 1851 John MAGUIRE married Sarah Fawcett in Lisnaskea Church of Ireland.

Thanks for that :D it's a good lead. How would I find the ages of the couple?

Hi,
You MIGHT find the ages on the marriage certificate but that is not certain. I later noticed that this couple had unnamed children in 1864 and 1866.

Thanks so much for getting back to me. It means I can cross out that lead, due to emigration as a childless couple!    :)
