Agnes Robertson

Trying without success to find birth or death record on Scotlands People for Agnes Robertson. She married James Ramage on 25th April 1852 in Carnock, Fife. I estimate her birth year at about 1832.
By the time her husband James Ramage dies in Hamilton, Lanarkshire 1907 he is described as a widower so she must have died before then.
I'm pretty sure I've got her on the 1871 census aged 39 in Carnock and a possible match in the 1881 census for James but not Agnes so she probably died between 1871 and 1881.
Any suggestions?

Did James show as a widower in 1881?

The family in 1871:

James Ramage 39 miner b. Fopoway (?spl), Kinross
Agnes Ramage 39 b. Dunfermline, Fife
Margaret Ramage 15
James Ramage 9
William Ramage 7
Grace Ramage 5
Thomas Ramage 1
Address: No 19 Store Row, Carnock Fife

Last child showing as born in 1872 from IGI https://familysearch.org/

1881:

James Ramage 49 coal miner b. Blairingone, Perthshire
Thomas Ramage 11 b. Carnock
Address: No 115 Store Row, Carnock Fife

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

The only female I can find with the names Ramage and Robertson and a birth year circa 1832 is

1890 ROBERTSON MARGARET   RAMAGE F 60 BLACKFRIARS GLASGOW CITY/LANARK

Hi,

Only one I could find was:

Agnes Robertson, d. 1877 in Carnock aged 44 (b. c. 1833) - no married/other name given on the index.

A death for an Agnes Ramage, d. 1877 aged 4 also shows under GROS ref: 414/00 0003.

It appears to be an indexing error but looks likely to be her. :)
