I looking for any info on the missing James William Simmons, which is my uncle. I don't know nothing about him only that he was born in world war two.

There is an incoming and outward passengers lists, 1890 - 1960 which has

Departure: Sydney, Australia
Arrival: Southampton, England

James Simmons

Arrival: London, England

Departure: England
Destination: Australia

Born: abt 1946 in Australia (Could be Sydney or Perth)

Parents:

James Thomas Branch (My Granddad)
Born: 15 Mar 1922 in Cambridgeshire, England
Died: 31 Dec 1999 in Cambridgeshire, England

James went on to marry Mary Thorn (My Grandma) in 1951 in Southampton, Hampshire, England

Jean Simmons (James William Simmons mother)
Born: Unknown (about the same time as James Branch)
Died: Unknown

Departure: England
Destination: Australia

Departure: -
Arrival: Southampton, England

(The incoming and outward passengers lists which I have put down may not be them though but it maybe)

Rootschat is not a forum for finding living people and lets hope your uncle born c1946 is still alive and very well, wherever he is.

You don't say in your post if you suspect him to be in Australia or England nor any dates of his suposed exit from here. Nor for his parents apparent arrival in Australia?

  This would involve research in two countries, ( if his mother returned to Australia)  his mother may have married ( more than once) and changed his surname.  The Birth indexes  in NSW are only to 1912 online ( maybe 1918), marriages to 1962.  There is International Social Services  http://www.iss.org.au/  may be able to help.
