My mum's aunt married a Chapman in Canada around the same time, shortly after they both immigrated here, so I was curious (since the aunt's family was from Essex) and your post prompted me to dig into his ancestry (he was born in the mid-1880s as well), just in case he was a relation of Florence.

But no, he wasn't from Essex, I find, so my cousins don't hit the family photo jackpot here.
Florence M Chapman was the daughter of Ambrose Chapman and Julia Wiffen who married in Braintree reg dist in 1870. Good distinctive names! They are in several Anc'y/Mundia family trees; none that I looked at have details for Florence beyond her birth 1885 Chingford so they are not likely closely related to the Chapman household.
