Hello, I am hoping someone can help me i am looking for a birth of Samuel Abberey all i know is he died on Oct 1992 in Sheffield. Any helpers please hen2010

The death index entry gives his age at death as 79 , and his dob as 2 Jan 1913.

The only birth that is close is

Oct/Nov/Dec 1913 Nantwich. 8a 567

But if his birth was registered in that quarter he would not have been born in January.

But, of course, info given at death registrations is only as good as the knowledge of the informant.

Do you know any more about him? Marriage?

No - cancel that Samuel t Abberley. That can't be him as I have found his death in 1970.


Back to your guy - we need more info!
If the death is really all you have on him (in which case one wonders how you know he can be linked to your tree) then you might need to buy the cert to se who the informant is, or look for a will (at Holborn, too recent for probate index online) to find out more about him.

They only know the  death date  because his  name appears on the Bona Vacantia  list

Hello. The name Samuel Abberey came up in the Sheffield Star Newspaper. The date of death is identically, it says he was born in Pakistan in 1913. I hope this helps.
