Alfred Newill about 1813 - Any clues to his mothers name?
« on: Saturday 23 March 13 19:55 GMT (UK) »
 :)

Hello everyone,

I am researching one of my ancestors, Mr Alfred Newill.

I know that he was born around 1813 in Leeds. I have records of him on the 51, 61, and 71 census.

He married an Ann Harrison in St Peter's Church which I believe is/was in Chapeltown, on the 28 February 1844.

According to the marriage records, his father was called William Newill and was a Mason.

I wonder if anyone can find out what his Mum was called. Even a first name would be nice.
;D Doing my best, but frequently wrong ;D
:-* My thanks to everyone who helps me, you are all marvellous :-*

I don't know if it's the same branch of the Newill family, there appears to be a stronghold of Newill's going back to 1500's living in Wortley (West Leeds).
