Does anybody go to The Kent History & Library Center? Are you able to look up The Sevenoaks Board of Guardians Records? My friend and I require a look up for 2 illegitimate children.
I have been helping my friend build a family tree. On my friends (misplaced) fathers birth Certificate it had shown: Mother Evangeline Cross (unmarried) and father (unknown). The birth in question is
Thomas George Kimber Cross who was born on 16 Nov 1906 in Sevenoaks, Kent.
My friend has misplaced the birth certificate but wonders if the fathers details will be listed in The Sevenoaks Board of Guardians Records? The mother and 2 children are shown staying at Sevenoaks, Union Work house, Sundridge Near Sevenoaks, Kent, during 1911 census.
Thomas' sister Harriet Elizabeth Kimber Cross was born 11 Jul 1909, in Sevenoaks, Kent. It is the same for her birth certificate.
Would anybody be able to look up these 2 people to see if there is any mention of the father which could be at a guess Thomas George Kimber. (No idea of age, where from or occupation.)
It would be nice to find out something about him.
