Robert had a brother John with a daughter Henrietta Sewell supposed to be married to some one connected to  the Tait & Lyle sugar Co never traced her so wonder could she be Henrietta Tait thought that was just a tall story may be not

Sounds logical to me Audrey - at least worth a bit more investigating.

I have two possibilities for TATTY
Mary Ann Sewell b 1885 Carlisle Cumberland
Henrietta Sewell b 1888 Workington
found them in Hebburn 1891 with parents
John and Catherine  and after that nothing I suspect that one of these two may have married a Tate if any one can find any thing for these two after 1891 I would be most gratefull

Hi Audrey

Henrietta would seem to be favorite as it is often shortened to "Hatty" Tatty may well be a nickname.
