Maud Aileen Smith
« on: Thursday 04 April 13 19:29 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find out about my great grandmother, whose name was Maud Aileen Smith. The last name might not be correct, as it was originally a "German" name according to my grandmother, but she can not recall what it was, except that her mother was of German and Danish heritage.
Maud Aileen was born in Milton. My grandmother says she died around 1968. She married George Frederick Jansan in the first half of the 1920s. I am guessing 1923 or 1924 as my grandmother was born on 12 Feb. 1925.  I am wondering if some other spelling for Jansan has been used on other documents as I have had no luck tracking anything through NZ births, deaths and marriages.

Thanks for that reference Janette. I suspected there would be a varience in the spelling of Jansan.

Hi,

There is a death for a Maud Jansan in 1965 aged 71 at Mangere.   Unfortunately, this cemetery isn't on line.

Cheers
