Redhill House was known as Edgware General Hospital,I had my tonsils out there in 1958 and my hubby was born there!

http://www.ezitis.myzen.co.uk/edgware.html

It was originally the Workhouse but later became an actual hospital.

I don't know if you would be able to access records after only 60 years, that sort of thing are often limited to 100.

Looks like the National Archives hold the records,I would email them if I were you and ask if they would release them to you.

If she'd been living in the London area before admission to hospital then electoral rolls may be helpful.

Hants: Stares (Wickham)
Lincs: Maw, Jackson (Epworth, Belton)

thankyou carol i had already seen those details but was just hoping someone else would have a different slant on my family history as she and her children are missing from the 1911 cencus and sometime after the family went its seperate ways . my grandmother was born in 1911 but after the cencus and the address she was born at seems to be missing completely from the cencus. she only kept in touch with 3 of her siblings and would never talk about her family. i have found more siblings and am trying to find out what happened to the rest however with a surname like marshall its almost imposible. :(
was hoping maybe that she had moved there to be near to one of the missing children ?? well one could hope lol
thanks for your kind look up .any suggestions on how to look at this family in a different way would be great ;D

Is Marshall her married name? Can you tell us all about her.Who were her kids?
Does she have a middle name.

My gran did the reverse journey from near Edgware when she could no longer live alone,to move 70 miles north to live with us and my mum ,so people looking for her death will be quite surprised not to find her in Middlesex.

There is an Alice Marshall in 1949 at 199 High Street West Drayton,

Other people in the house are Albert H and Lily Stephens with 2 more Stephens next door at 201,Frances A and William G.

IN 1950 the same set up but with the addition of a Felicity Stephens.

They're still there in 1951 and 52.

Hi

How have you reached the conclusion you have the right Alice Marshall death? Alice was older by a couple of years than her husband on the 1901 census but was she adjusting her age down a little for that censu?

June quarter 1869 registration district Easington
Alice Fairbairn
