Garlands Hospital - Jennie Wylie Ainsworth

Hello

Can anyone help me with details of my great grandmother, Jane (Jennie/Jeannie) Wylie Ainsworth?
She was admitted to The Garlands in 1912 or early 1913 (from Fusehill Institution, Carlisle) and died there on 9 April 1947 age 72 (d.o.b. 22 May 1874).

I am interested to know if I can have any access to her medical records, or find out where she is buried.

Hi c1512 :)  Welcome to RootsChat!

An e-mail to Carlisle Archives Centre will cost you nothing and they should be able to tell you about the records.  However, the records may be "closed" for 100 years, in which case you'll probably have to wait another 30-odd years.  :-\

The archives will have a copy of the cemetery burial index and may be able to help you, especially as you have the exact date of death.
