Wood Family Shipyard 1750- 1850
« on: Friday 12 April 13 16:09 BST (UK) »
Hi, I am needing help with a George Wood born 1791 in Berwick upon Tweed , I think but not 100% on this, I have seen on so many other sites that he was wed to different ladies names, which I found quite confusing, I have checked both Ancestry & FamilySearch the same record, but nothing else matches.
So I thought I would turn to the one site that has managed to provide the correct results in the past. The help is second to none of here, I am looking for his spouse, I am getting a name of Eleanor or Elizabeth but no record of marriage.
Any one think they can help ??
Thanks.
John

Hi

George Wood, boat builder, mentioned here is my great great great grandfather.
He married Ann Forster , yes some of the children have different mother's names but Claire (above) and i believe it is Ann, as Claire has found a burial entry for Ann Wood, 1837.  Only George is on the census from 1841.  Blake lived at 1 College Place,  Berwick and Rebecca never married (passed away aged 35).

I have further infomation so do contact me if you want to.

Ooh how I love these Berwick-Upon-Tweed WOODs  :D

They've been giving me the run around for years but more recently with help from MWoodFamily (you know who you are lol) we are learning more.

John, I will send you a message.
