Hi Duckman,
I have some but not all of the 19th century burial records for Cambusnethan churchyard and cemetery in Wishaw.
The following are all interred in public (or common) ground at Cambusnethan cemetery, all dates are of burial. They may or may not be related to you, all are Moorcrofts.
JANE MOORCROFT, housewife, Overtown, aged 45 years, married.
Parents - John McCulloch & Martha McCabe. 11th March 1865.
ALEXANDER MOORCROFT, Pather, aged 11 months.
Parents - Andrew Moorcroft & Mary Fagan. 19th March 1872.
ROBERT MOORCROFT, Wishaw, aged 2 years.
Parents - Robert Moorcroft & Jane Steele. 14th September 1874.
NEWBORN FEMALE MOORCROFT, Wishaw, aged 2 hours.
Parents - Charles Moorcroft & Jessie Cairns. 17th March 1875.
HELEN MOORCROFT, Wishaw, 4 hours.
Parents - Charles Moorcroft & Jessie Cairns. 7th January 1876.
JANE MOORCROFT, Wishaw, aged 2 years.
Parents - Andrew Moorcroft & Mary Neil. 31st January 1876.
ANN MOORCROFT, Overtown, aged 4 months.
Parents - Robert Moorcroft & Margaret Moffat. 15th November 1878.
ROBERT MOORCROFT, Overtown, aged 5 years.
Parents - Robert Moorcroft & Margaret Moffat. 23rd August 1880.
That's all I could find. If Robert & Margaret Moorcroft died at Law village they may be in Carluke cemetery, as Law was part of Carluke parish. However, they may be in Cambusnethan but they are not in the records I have.
There are no Moorcrofts in the 1925 Wishaw directory but there is a Robert Muircroft, a miner, living at 9 Glen Road in Wishaw.
Lower Carbarns is a farm (still there last time I looked)
In the same directory is listed "G. Brown, Low Carbarns" but he isn't in the 1893 Wishaw directory.
George & Margaret Brown may well be buried in Cambusnethan but they could be in Airbles in Motherwell. You should write to the Cemeteries Office of North Lanarkshire Council at Bellshill (address on the NLC website) giving the exact date of death if known and parents names if known.
