Help finding marriage of William McIlree and Martha McFadden
« on: Saturday 13 April 13 10:21 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the marriage of William McIlree b.1810 Tyrone Ireland and wife Martha McFadden b.1816 and married in Ireland.  They emigrated to America around 1839 and their first child was born in Illinois in 1839.  Any help appreciated.

From information posted on your topic on U.S. board looking for details of this couple it looks like the marriage took place in 1838 in Illinois-

Are you sure they were married in Ireland ?

There is an Illinois Marriage for William McElree to Martha Mc Fadden 23 Jul 1838 Peoria Illinois which seems a coincidence ?

Yes, thanks, seems too close to be anyone else.  In a story I read, written by some of their children, it was stated that they married in Ireland.  Will check it out.
