Looking for Dates and Info on my pics

I have these pictures of my relatives.  Any info on the uniforms would be greatly appreciated. Also when they were taken.

Probably pre ww1, His sporran is Black Watch though  his collar  badges are not, though they  are similar to the Royal Cypher, his glengarry badge has the general shape of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders His belt buckle normally would carry his regimental badge
A bit of an enigma, Not Canadian Black Watch either although their sporran is identical.
Perhaps post on the ww1 armed forces board with a name may  help. Add any details that mey be on the reverse of the pic

Assuming this is a borderless postcard would put it pre WW1 as James suggested.

Thanks so much for the information.  Sounds interesting.  I will find a WW1 board.  I have been told that it is a picture of my great-grandfather who was a stoker on the Bulwark in WW1.  I have also been told that both this pic and the one in the Sailor is the same person.  Any agreement to this?

What is a borderless postcard?  I got this from my second-cousin's photos.  We met for the first time this year and shared info and pics.  What a great weekend!

Borderless, no white edge and the photo goes all the way to the edge of the card. Pre WWI.
