Ellis of Gresford and Williams of Soughton
« on: Saturday 27 April 13 15:24 BST (UK) »
Living on the South Coast I have been able to trace my Ellis and Williams families back to the late 1700s however there are obviously lots of gaps.
Regarding the Ellis family who wre residents of Gresford I assume they would probably have been buried at Gresford Parish Church - are there records of the graves available and if so where.
Williams of Soughton - which would be the likely burial place for its residents, and again are there records available.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

You will find transcribed booklets of burials at Gresford;
http://www.clwydfhs.org.uk/publications/registers-books.htm

Of course they will not tell you grave positions etc.

If was making an "educated guess"  I would say anyone of Soughton would more than likely be buried at Northop.

Now elsewhere on the same link you will find both burials and MIs for Northop.

Just a word of caution regarding Northop burials. I recently bought the Clwyd FHS Parish Register Transcriptions 1750 - 1812 (Volumes 5,6) to research my Mathews relatives who lived in Northop, only to discover that, while they were baptised and married at Northop, they were buried at Connah's Quay.
