John McEnnulty married Mary Ann Oldfield  31st Oct, 1859 and lived in Longford Tasmania.

He was 32yrs, she was 29yr.

Mary Ann Oldfield wasn't born in Nottingham but was there 10 years later

There is info out there on Mary Ann but I am struggling with John.

Who was John's father and mother  and how did John get to Tasmania

He died 1872 Longford Tasmania   

Considering their ages at marriage I am wondering if they both where married before coming to Tasmania

From information on line John seems to have been born in Tasmania.  Do you think he was born elsewhere?

I don't know where John was born I haven't been able to find his birth.

I thought maybe his parents may have been convicts but I have had no success there either.

Are you saying Mary was in Nottingham in 1869?  May I ask your source of information please.

It would appear from the newspapers of the day that John lived in Perth which is 6 km from Longford.

You mention that Mary Ann was not born Nottinghamshire.  There is a Mary Ann OLDFIELD 18 years arriving 6 Oct 1848  NSW  as an Unassisted Immigrant  on the Agincourt.  She could read and write, Church of England, house servant born ?Chesterfield, Derbyshire.  Ages match.
